Gears of War 2 is slated for this November, but a small detail was released today for users who buy the collector’s edition of the upcoming blockbuster, a golden weapon.
That’s right, you’re not playing Goldeneye or Call of Duty 4, but if you order the the Gears of War 2 collector’s edition, you’ll find a code to unlock a gold-plated Lancer (assault rifle) to use in the online play.
The collector’s edition also includes:
- "Beneath the Surface: An Inside Look at Gears of War 2," a 48-page hardbound book including character profiles, exclusive concept art, and foreword by Design Director Cliff Bleszinski.
- Bonus DVD including exclusive making-of-the-game video footage, design galleries with audio commentary by Epic Games, and promotional videos including the E3 2008 trailer, "Rendezvous".
