For the majority of those who have played Mass Effect, they realize that it is easily one of the better games that they have had the pleasure of putting into their 360, and Bioware plans to keep it on the 360 for the time being.
"I believe we’ll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood revealed to CVG on the subject of the sequel’s release plans. "We’re still working out the details on that, but we’ve had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well."

Many had thought that with the Electronic Arts buyout, that Mass Effect would become a multi-platform series. It seems that after the 360 deal expires, Mass Effect will be making its way over to the PC when the time comes for Mass Effect 2.
Atwood went on to state, "We look at Mass Effect 2 as incredibly exciting," he said. "Just the amount of effort and knowledge and know-how that went into building the technology for the first one is huge, and [we now have] the chance to actually make things a little bit richer."
