It’s safe to say that Rockstar Games was easily one of the premier developers for both the Playstation 2 and the original Xbox, but two and a half years into the Xbox 360’s life cycle, only one Rockstar game has been released for the 360, Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis. While we all patiently wait for Grand Theft Auto IV, Bully: Scholarship Edition is definitely a game that will make waiting just a little easier.
Bully was originally released in 2006 for the Playstation 2, and although it was an extremely solid game, many gamers missed it in the hype of the brand new Xbox 360 being launched. With adequate development time, Rockstar has given us the opportunity to play Bully after it may have slipped through the cracks. Repackaged as Bully: Scholarship Edition, the 360 version features 8 new missions, 4 new classes, a handful of new characters and some multiplayer mini-games.

The core of the game remains the same, however. You play as Jimmy Hopkins, a troubled teen who has a problem with getting expelled from schools. Your mother and her new husband go on a year-long honeymoon, dropping you off at Bullworth Academy, and that’s where the game begins. Jimmy faces all the trials and tribulations of being the new kid, and has to work hard to gain friends, fend off the bullies, pass his classes, and most importantly, avoid trouble.
Going to school is pretty routine. You wake up at 8, and have a morning and an afternoon class. Now while going to class may sound boring, it’s in your best interest to go. The classes don’t take more than 5 minutes a piece and most of them unlock new skills following their completion. Gym class will teach you new fighting moves and increase your slingshot accuracy, shop class will unlock faster bikes, and English class will net you better insults and apology skills, always handy for getting out of trouble. If that isn’t enough for you, you can always skip all your classes, but if you get caught skipping class by police or prefects, they will send you straight to your class.
