We’re sure that most of you knew that it was eventually coming, but EA has finally announced that the next version of the Need for Speed franchise, Undercover, will be making its way onto the market in the coming months.

CEO of Electronic Arts, John Riccitiello, stated that the series is under development from one of EA Vancouver’s two Need for Speed teams.

"I thought it was an okay game, in terms of gameplay. It’s not good. But who wanted Pro Street? It was a sort of made up, put numbers on the side of your car and pretend to drive your Ferrari where? Or your Porsche where?"

It seems as if Riccitiello noticed what a lot of gamers seemed to find out about the Need for Speed franchise, and rather than continue down the same dreadful path, he seems to be confident that allowing the development team a considerable amount of time to develop the series will be extremely benificial.
