Activision hit it big with their Guitar Hero series, but word has it that there will be a new franchise coming from this same company.  Guitar Hero, meet DJ Hero, your newest friend.  Activision filed to trademark the name  "DJ Hero" on February 8th.  The trademark refers to, "computer game software and related instruction manual sold together as a unit; interactive video game programs; computer game discs; downloadable software for use in connection with computer games; video game controllers; interactive video game comprised of a CD or DVD sold as a unit with a video game controller."

While this isn’t a brand new idea, it wouldn’t be the first time that a company has taken a previous idea and morphed it into a million dollar idea.  The only thing left to be known is whether we’ll be mixing the hip-hop beats of the 80s and 90s, or the techno beats that have become ever so popular as of late.
