Bioshock, one of the few games in this day and age that actually blossomed as just a singleplayer game in the world of multiplayer mania. Rumors have swirled for a few months now stating that Bioshock would be heading to the Playstation 3 this Summer, but it seems as if this rumor has been squashed.
Over at TheBitBag.com, they have published the official response from 2k when asking them the question if Bioshock was still a 360 exclusive title.
"2K has not made any announcements regarding a PS3 version, which makes
it a rumor and it is company policy to not comment on rumors. Please
note that we have you coded to receive all press releases, so when any
significant company news breaks, you’ll be on the front lines of
receiving an official notification."
So there you have it, official word. Does this mean that there is absolutely no possibility? Not really, considering we’ve all seen gaming companies tell us exactly this only to later release a statement in the coming weeks. For now, Bioshock is going to remain an Xbox 360 exclusive title, but don’t be surprised if you hear an announcement for Bioshock making its way to the Playstation 3 around E3. We’re expecting to see Bioshock make its way over to Sony and be on the shelves this holiday season.
